Why choose a Vortex Palladium?

The Ultimate spa pool?

With seating for nine, up to 93 jets and 3 jet pumps, two lay down seats, a neck massage seat and a multitude of water features and lighting options, we don't think you could build a better, bigger and more impressive spa than the Vortex Palladium.

Big in everyway

This is not a spa for the faint hearted. It's a massive 3.5 x 2.3 metres meaning it has a water volume of 2500 litres. Even with Vortex's array of standard energy saving technologies, we would advise you to consider an optional heat pump if you are planning to heat the spa year round.

Extremely versatile

Designed to seat 10+ adults, the Palladium is also a great kids spa, as it's large size makes it as much a small swimming pool as a big spa.

Feature packed

One really great feature for us is the fully lit step down access. This makes it ideal for those who may be a little uncertain on their feet but also give the kids shallower seating options. If you want the ultimate spa package then upgrade to the Palladium Avanté for a tougher, more economical spa with some extra bling.

If its nothing but the best for you then you can upgrade to the Palladium Hydroplus.  Both models have exactly the same shell and features, however the Hydroplus version has an additional 10 jets bringing the total count to a whopping 95 jets. To run the extra jets, the Palladium Hydroplus has 2 x 3hp pumps. With this amount of power comes a need for more substantial electricity supply, its worth checking out how easy it is to get a 40amp supply before you commit.

Twin Laminar jets (optional)

The term 'laminar' relates to a pure stream of uninterrupted water flow with no swirls or eddies. Laminar water jets are usually only found in luxury swimming pools, but due to Vortex Spas' unique balancing chamber system, the Palladium Hydroplus spa has two pairs of laminar jets built in. Not only do these laminar jets give a beautiful water display during the day, but at night they light up like liquid Neon.

Tranquil water feature

The Tranquil water feature gives your spa a relaxing feel with a gentle back lit water cascade. This water feature runs of the filtration pump, so it can be left running while your spa is not in use- turning it in to a garden water feature.

Neck therapy collar

The Palladium Hydroplus’s neck therapy collar is specifically designed to target the common tight spots around the neck and shoulders. 4 x powerful 50mm hydrotherapy jets are embedded in the collar to target from above your neck and shoulders.

Easy access steps

The Palladium Hydroplus features built in 3 tier steps The spacious and well proportioned steps allows you to enter and exit the pool area with ease.

Illuminated glass holders (optional)

It is important to stay hydrated whilst using your spa, but at night, it can be hard to find where you've left your favourite beverage. The Vortex Palladium Hydroplus spa pool has 5 illuminated glass rests so locating your drink is never a problem. They also tend to illuminate both the vessel and the liquid within it giving a nice lighting effect above the spa's water line.

Illuminated Topside Controls (optional)

Another thoughtful touch on the Palladium Hydroplus spa is that the topside controls, which alter water and air flow, are illuminated. This makes them easy to locate at night and adds to the separate LED lights that illuminate various parts of the Palladium Hydroplus spa

Spa Health Indicator Light

The Vortex Spa health indicator light has been designed to communicate the spa’s condition to spa user without having to lift the cover. The indicator lights up blue to show it is at the correct temperature, or red to indicate a water temperature fluctuation over 5°C or a fault.

Spanet WiFi control (optional)

Control your spa remotely from anywhere in the world! With the optional Spanet wifi/bluetooth control unit, all you have to do is download the phone app (Android or Apple) and you can control all the spa functions simply and remotely. Programmable Circulation Pump

Up until recently, there were two types of filtration pump systems available. The first was a two speed pump which filtered on low speed and switched to high speed when the jets were turned on. Two speed pumps are still available, but the pumps are usually more noisy and less reliable.

The second system was a very small circulation pump which ran 24 hours a day regardless of whether you needed it to or not. The Vortex Palladium instead uses a programmable circulation pump. It is quieter and more reliable than a two speed pump, but can be programmed to run for between 2 and 24 hours per day depending on how much the spa is being used.

Variable Output Heater

The heater of your spa draws more power than any other component. As a result, when the big jet pump or pumps turn on, the heater usually has to turn off, as unless your spa is hard wired, a conventional outdoor power point cannot provide enough power to run the heater and big jet pump at the same time.

The Vortex Palladium however, has a variable output heater. This means when the spa's jet pump is turned on, the heater turns DOWN rather than OFF. This has the benefit of maintaining the spa's temperature while you are using it, rather than cooling it down.

High density High Density Lid

As heat rises, most of the heat loss in a spa occurs through the spa's cover. As such, it is important that the spa's cover is manufactured from a high density foam that has better heat retention properties. The Vortex Palladium uses a high density foam insert which is also heat shrink sealed to prevent water ingress, prolonging the cover's life.

Insulated Base

The insulated base works in tandem with the perimeter insulation to ensure the cold is kept out and heating costs are reduced.

Perimeter Insulation

There are several ways to insulate a spa. Vortex spas have chosen to use perimeter insulation. Whilst more expensive to produce than foaming the shell of the spa, it does have the benefit of insulating the water that is in the plumbing of the spa, as well as the water in the spa itself.

Dual Layer Insulation*

Acting like double glazed windows, the dual layer insulation system traps air between the foam insulation on the shell and the reflective foil and foam insulation of the cabinet, to create a pocket of warm air.

This system ensures that not only the water in the spa is insulated, but also the water in the pipework. This option adds a higher level of heat retention than Vortex’s standard perimeter insulation.

*optional on all Vortex spas

Arctic Insulation*

Vortex Spa’s optional Arctic pack insulation is the ultimate level of insulation available. It increasing the thickness of the perimeter insulation to 50mm gives unsurpassed heat retention and the lowest possible running costs.

This system is extensively used on Vortex Spas sold in very cold regions such as Scandinavia and Canada.

Thermobond shell construction

Vortex Spas use a 4 layer thermobond shell construction in the manufacturing of all of their spa shells.

The first layer is acrylic which gives the spa its colour. This is backed by a water proof, vinyl ester resin, marine grade polyester resin, which adds torsional strength, and, finally, a polyceramic layer which adds rigidity.

The shells are oven cured to ensure the correct bonding of the various layers. This is a crucial step that is missed by most manufacturers due to its additional cost.

Flexible PVC Plumbing

In order to eliminate the chance of kinks in the plumbing and to prolong life, Vortex Spas use a flexible PVC plumbing material called Duraflex. This is a flexible tubing that incorporates a spiral of rigid PVC. Unlike the tubing used by many manufacturers, Vortex Spas Duraflex plumbing is specifically designed for hot, chemically treated water and carries a 5 year no leak guarantee.

10 Year Non Pro rata Structural Warranty

All Vortex Spas are offered with a 10 year 'non pro-rata' shell structure warranty. This means that if the spa's shell cracks resulting in water loss, for a period of 10 years, the spas shell shall be replaced.

5 Year Non Pro rata Acrylic surface Warranty

All Vortex Spas are offered with a 5 year 'non pro-rata' acrylic surface warranty. This means that if the acrylic surface blisters resulting in water loss for a period of 5 years, the spa's shell shall be replaced.

5 Year Plumbing, Heater  & Jet Warranty

The plumbing system of all Vortex spas is warranted against leaking for 5 years.

The heater and jets of all Vortex Spas are warranted against defects for a period of 5 years.

2 Year Pump & Equipment Warranty

The circulation pump, jet pump(s) and electronic control system of all Vortex spas are warranted against defects for 2 years.
