Easter Fun at Home
For many of us, Easter is traditionally a time when we lock up the house, load up the car, and head off for a well-deserved weekend away. Of course, the current lock-down means a trip out-of-town is off the cards. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a fabulous, fun-filled break at home – and these five fun ideas will help you and the kids do just that!
Backyard Egg Hunt
Hold a scavenger hunt in the backyard, hiding Easter eggs and other little goodies in the garden. Write down clues for each item, then send the little ones out to find the bounty!
Turn the lounge into a temporary town for toys. Use insulation tape to create roadways across the floor, and build houses from couch cushions for the dolls and action figures that will live here.
Build a Fort
Introduce the kids to the joy of fort building – a fond childhood memory for virtually every adult! Sketch-up plans, scour the house for building materials, and then construct the masterpiece!
Happy Birthday, Ted!
Have a birthday party for one of the kids’ favourite toys. Blow up party balloons, set up the tea set and play classic party games like Pass the Parcel and Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
Hit the spa!
In these stressful times, it’s vital you take some time to relax and unwind. Make a point of turning off the news, putting the phones to one side, and spending some quality time together in your spa pool – when you get out, you’ll have an entirely new perspective on things!
