Cross-training in your swim spa

Using your swim spa for cross-training gives excellent results for your entire body.

The leading expert in swim spa exercise, Dr. Rick McAvoy says it not only allows you to train harder but smarter.  “The unique aquatic environment affects almost every system of your body positively,” he says.

Here are some of the ways that crossing-training in a swim spa is so beneficial:

  • The water’s buoyancy reduces impact, and wear and tear on your joints.
  • You can use the swim spa’s currents or jets for increased turbulence, helping to improve core stability and balance.
  • The temperature and pressure of the water create improved circulation to help with faster recovery rates and reduced muscle soreness.
  • The other benefit of cross-training in a swim spa is that it provides a change to your normal exercise programme, so you don’t get bored!
