The Jacuzzi brothers, Italian immigrants and engineers, arrived in California in the early 1900s. Combining their mechanical skill and entrepreneurial drive, they began creating products that solved everyday challenges, from aviation components to water pumps for agriculture.

When family member Kenneth Jacuzzi was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, Candido Jacuzzi designed a small, portable pump that could be placed in a bathtub to deliver soothing, hydrotherapeutic massage through aerated jets. This invention became known as the J-300™pump, changing the way people approached wellness at home.

After discovering how effective the J-300™ pump was for arthritis relief, the Jacuzzi family began manufacturing and marketing the device commercially. It quickly became a household name and the foundation for an entirely new category of wellness.

Roy Jacuzzi, the youngest of the third generation, designed and launched the Roman Bath, the world’s first self-contained whirlpool bathtub. For the first time, jets, circulation, and heating were integrated into a single, stand-alone product. This innovation marked the true birth of the modern spa.

Jacuzzi^® Spas introduced larger models designed for shared experiences. With built-in heating and filtration systems, these units transformed the concept of bathing into an everyday wellness ritual for families.

Jacuzzi^® Spas continued expanding into full indoor and outdoor spa systems, adding features like waterfalls, ergonomically designed seating, and advanced filtration. In recognition of his contributions to the industry, Roy Jacuzzi was inducted into the National Kitchen & Bath Hall of Fame.

By 2000s, Jacuzzi^® hot tubs and baths were available in more than 60 countries around the world. Still recognised as pioneers of hydromassage, the brand continued to push innovation in pump systems, jet technology, air controls, and product design.

In 2010, the Jacuzzi^® Brand introduced a sleek flat-rail spa designed to integrate seamlessly into decks. This new approach not only elevated the look of outdoor spaces but also improved energy efficiency, reinforcing Jacuzzi’s commitment to smart, thoughtful design.

More than a century after the brand began, the Jacuzzi^® range remains the global leader in hydrotherapy and wellness innovation.
