What Does the Fisher Spa™ Warranty Cover?

Fisher Spa™ warranties protect various components, each with its coverage period. Here’s a quick look at what’s covered:

Frame: Lifetime Frame Warranty

The Fisher Spa™ frame, made with Permaframe™ technology, is warranted for the life of the spa against structural defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is valid only if the spa has been installed according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Shell Structure: 10-Year Structural Shell Warranty

Fisher Spas™ warrants the spa shell structure against defects that may cause water leakage for ten years from the date of delivery, ensuring long-lasting enjoyment with proper use and maintenance.

Shell Surface: 5-Year Acrylic Surface Warranty

The acrylic surface of the spa shell is covered against water loss for five years. However, it’s essential to maintain balanced water chemistry, as improper water maintenance could void this warranty.

Jets and Heater: 5-Year Warranty on Jets and Heater

• Jets: Fisher Spas™ covers removable jets for five years, provided no damage is caused by debris, improper cleaning, or incorrect water chemistry.
• Heater: The heater element is also warranted for five years, but from the second year onward, only parts are covered (labour and shipping excluded). Improper water chemistry can damage the heater and this is excluded from warranty coverage, so proper water care is essential.

Plumbing: 5-Year Plumbing Warranty

Plumbing, piping, and joint leaks are covered for five years, with replacement parts provided after the first year, though labour and shipping costs aren’t included.

Pumps: 2-Year Pump Warranty

The spa pump is protected for two years, covering only parts after the first year. It’s crucial to maintain correct water balance and chemical levels to prevent pump damage, which is not covered.

Electronics: 2-Year Electronic Components Warranty

Covers electronic control systems against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the delivery date. After the first year, the warranty is limited to replacement parts only, and any labour or freight costs are excluded. Any damage from flooding, improper electrical connection, low voltage or any other electrical fault is excluded.

Cabinet: 1-Year Thermoclad Cabinet Warranty

The Thermoclad™ cabinet’s structural integrity is covered for one year from delivery. While this includes protection against initial defects, natural fading or weathering over time is not covered under this warranty.

Heat Pump: 1-Year External Heat Pump Warranty

The external heat pump is warranted for one year against defects in materials and workmanship, provided it is installed by a qualified contractor. Failure to do so will void the warranty immediately.

Cover: 1-Year Spa Hardcover Warranty

This covers the structural integrity of the spa cover for one year from the date of delivery, including the vinyl. Damage to stitching, straps, or locks due to misuse or improper handling is not covered.

ClearLift™: ClearLift™ Standard Warranty

For spas equipped with the optional ClearLift™ upgrade, the warranty includes: ClearLift™ Electrical Components: SpaNet™ cover controller, transformer, and actuators are covered for one year for parts and labour, with a second-year warranty on parts only.

• ClearLift™ Cover Foam: Includes one year of parts and labour, with an additional year of parts-only coverage.
• ClearLift™ Cover Frame and Mechanical Components: Includes one year of parts and labour coverage, with a second year of parts-only warranty.

What Are the Exclusions in the Fisher Spa™ Warranty?

The Fisher Spa™ warranty excludes the following:

• Damage resulting from improper water maintenance.
• Damage from operating the spa above 45°C.
• Damage caused by clogged filters
• Damage caused to the spa by improper use of spa cover and excessive exposure to sunlight.
• Acts of God.
• Damage was caused by not installing the spa on a sufficiently hard-level surface.
• Damage caused by incorrect electrical installation, brownouts, voltage spikes or operating spa out of +/- 10% of voltage range
• Warranty is not extended to filter cartridges, headrests, pump seals or drain hoses.
• Commercial use reduces all warranties to a maximum 6 months.
• Damage caused by the relocation of the spa from its original installed location.
• Damage by termites, borer or other pests.
• Damage caused by flooding
• Damage caused by third-party carriers.
• Damage or corrosion.
• Damage caused by the operation of ClearLift™ Cover Lifter during high wind.
• Damage caused by the operation of ClearLift™ Cover Lifter due to excessive loads such as heavy snow.
• Damage caused by the operation of ClearLift™ Cover Lifter due to closing it on a foreign object.

• Keep Your Spa Clean and Balanced. Regularly monitor and adjust water chemistry to prevent issues that could affect components like the pump and heater. A balanced chemical environment will protect your spa from damage.
• Follow Installation Guidelines. Ensure that a licensed electrician installs the spa, with a dedicated mains electrical circuit as per local electrical codes. Unqualified installation voids the warranty.
• Regular Maintenance Checks. Periodically check connections, especially barrel unions, to maintain the spa’s operational integrity and avoid potential leaks or damage that the warranty won’t cover.
• Purchase from Authorized Dealers Only. The Fisher Spa™ warranty is only valid if purchased through an authorised Vortex Leisure Pty Ltd reseller, so make sure you buy from reputable sources.
